Psychiatrists For Adolescents

It can be difficult to connect with an adolescent member of the family, especially when they are struggling. What we specialise in at Child Mental Health Clinic is the assessment and understanding of difficulties that younger members of society may be facing. We aim to improve the quality of life, bring together the family and create a brighter future for those who need it.

In Adolescents, illnesses such as depression can challenge the daily routine and these young members of society will be unsure where to turn for help. Our dedicated team at the Child Mental Health Clinic, led by Dr Jyoti Vandana, seek to carry out a number of flexible, specialised treatments to help your child or teenager overcome depression, and return to a healthy routine within their daily lives. Sometimes, this may involve the prescription of medication, following a careful assessment.

Other disorders that can be particularly prevalent in teens, is that of eating disorders. Children and young people can be particularly influenced by social media, and the erratic trends of the internet. This can lead to a poor self-image, consistent worrying and end up as an eating disorder. Our team utilise psychological therapy and open discussion with those who are suffering from an eating disorder, as to give that person a more balanced appearance of themselves.

Both of these disorders can appear within young members of society, as a team of psychiatrists for adolescents, we’ll go above and beyond to help, carrying out formal assessments and friendly interaction to ensure a comfortable setting whilst working toward a healthier outcome for our patients.
